Connecting PF Create to Claude.ai
Difficulty: Easy — no software to install.
Requires: Claude Pro, Team, or Max plan
Before You Start
- Your
pfk_…Portal Access Key — log in at user.pfcreate.ca, select Security from the menu, click Rotate Portal Access Key, and copy the key immediately. It will not be shown again. - The MCP server URL:
https://mcp.pfcreate.ca
Steps
- Go to claude.ai and sign in.
- Click your profile icon (bottom-left) → Settings.
- Click Integrations in the left sidebar.
- Click Add Integration.
- Enter the server URL:
https://mcp.pfcreate.ca - Click Connect. An authorization window will open.
- On the Authorize screen, paste your
pfk_…Portal Access Key and click Approve. - The window closes and the integration appears as connected.
- Start a new conversation and try: “Generate an image of a misty mountain forest at dawn”
The Authorization Screen
When connecting for the first time you will see a screen asking for your key. Enter your pfk_… key and click Approve. The key is used once to verify your identity — a short-lived access token is issued to Claude instead. Your actual key stays private.
Re-authorizing
Access tokens refresh automatically in the background for up to 30 days. After 30 days, or if you manually disconnect, you will be asked to authorize again with the same key.
Disconnecting
Settings → Integrations → click the PF Create integration → Remove.
Troubleshooting
“Unauthorized” on the Approve page — Your key was entered incorrectly. Copy the full key including the pfk_ prefix with no spaces.
Authorization window doesn’t appear — Check your browser is not blocking pop-ups from claude.ai, then try again from Settings → Integrations.
Tools appear but requests fail — Your account may need service API keys configured. Visit your Services page.
